We regret to inform you that the 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Leadership Election of Wudil Commercial Old Boys Association (WUCOBA), initially scheduled for Saturday, 25th January 2025, has been postponed to the new date of Saturday, 1st February 2025.
Date: Saturday, 1st February 2025
Time: 10:00 AM Prompt
Venue: Government Secondary Commercial School (GSCS), Wudil, Kano
This postponement is necessary due to the completion of some very important projects that require our attention prior to the meeting. We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Please make a note of the new date and plan to attend as we look forward to your valuable participation in shaping the future of WUCOBA.

On behalf of the leadership of WUCOBA, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you for attending our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Election on February 1st, 2025. Your presence, participation, and commitment to the growth of our beloved association and alma mater were truly remarkable.
We are deeply grateful to all members who contributed their time, ideas, and support. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our invited guests, government representatives, security personnel, and the distinguished Principals and Directors who graced the occasion with their presence. Your contributions added great value to our event and reinforced the strong bond we share as a community.
To our esteemed members, we are humbled by the trust and confidence you have placed in us to continue leading this great association for another four years. It is an honor we do not take lightly, and we pledge to continue working diligently to uphold the values and mission of WUCOBA.
As we reflect on our journey, we proudly acknowledge that our administration has achieved more than any leadership since the inception of WUCOBA. This is to formally notify all elected executives and the general congress of the Wudil Commercial Old Boys Association (WUCOBA) that the wearing-in and oaths ceremony for the newly elected executive members will take place on Saturday, 15th February 2025, at Radio Kano Gidan Bello Dandago, by 10:00 AM.
Your presence at this important event will be highly appreciated and recognized.
Furthermore, the NEC members will hold their first meeting immediately after the swearing-in ceremony.

📝 *Summary of NEC Meeting Outcomes for WUCOBA Congress*
Dear Esteemed Members of WUCOBA,
Below are the key outcomes from the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held on *Sunday, 15th June 2025*, for your awareness, alignment, and continued support:
1. ✅ *Project Implementation for 2025*
* The proposed 2025 Projects were reaffirmed:
*Renovation of two classrooms*
*Renovation of two rooms of students hostel*
*Renovation of Principal’s office toilets*
* The calendar of NEC and Delegate Assembly meetings was reviewed and approved with slight adjustments to enhance execution.
2. 📋 *Compliance Committee Report*
* A Compliance Committee led by VP I carried out a school visit.
* Key outcomes:
*Introduction of a logbook* to track all donations.
The Committee will return to:
Collect *cost estimates* for approved projects
*Conduct an inventory and labeling* of all donated items
3. 📆 *Delegate Assembly Meeting*
* Scheduled to hold in the *second week of July 2025*
* All chapters are *mandated to attend and sponsor the logistics*, due to the significance of matters on the agenda
4. 🤝 *Condolences, Welfare & Support*
* Prayers were offered for the repose of *Salisu Dakata* and *Sani Alto (Class of 1990)*
* Get-well prayers were offered for:
*DanKanwa (Class of 1995)* – accident victim
*Abubakar Gezawa (Class of 2002)* – health issues
* NEC approved a ₦200,000 financial support initiative to aid a member in distress (coordinated by the Treasurer)
5. 📢 *Chapter Engagements*
* Reports received from representatives who attended the annual meetings of:
*Class of 2002, 2004, 2011, 2015, and 2016*
* The National President urged *all chapters to share upcoming meeting dates and intervention plans* for inclusion in national documentation and monitoring
6. 💼 *Fundraising Initiatives*
* Proposal to *visit key members* for project fundraising was approved
* Implementation to be coordinated by the *Financial Secretary*
7. 💰 *Annual Chapter Dues*
* Reminder: Annual dues have been *increased from ₦20,000 to ₦50,000 per chapter*
* Chapters are encouraged to remit promptly to support projects and national operations
8. 📡 *Communications & Student Training*
* The PRO II was assigned to design an *entrepreneurship training proposal for students*
* The Secretary General was tasked to ensure *regular updates* across official communication platforms

* Chapters should prepare for the *Delegate Assembly Meeting in July*
* NEC members will begin the *targeted visitation campaign*
